The audio

Austin Powers opening sequence

One thing brought up in the discussions surrounding the making of our films was what was it going to sound like. We definitely want to film the entire thing silently then dub the sounds on top to stylise it to our liking. However we want another narrative to compliment the visual story.

Although its a crude and comical film, Austin Powers opening sequence uses a technique called 'crosscutting' where multiple voices are cut from multiple scenarios to create a distinguishable sentence. The video in reference demonstrates this audio tool works well as a humourous sequence but as also this engaging rollout of scenarios that builds suspense.
Our own 'crosscutting'of conversations will include conversations that you would hear arround London to highten our observational take of the modern day lives in the city.
